Manage Team Roles & Users
Piclo has introduced expanded granular permissions to enable System Operators to manage access within their teams effectively, adhering to the principle of least privilege. This approach ensures that team members are granted access solely to the functionalities necessary for their designated roles, thus enhancing security and operational efficiency.
Team Management and Permissions
You can invite colleagues to join your System Operator Organisation on Piclo or to view your team's permissions by navigating to Settings > Team. Up to eight members can be invited; should additional seats be required, contact Piclo customer support.
Overview of Permissions
System Operators receive core default permissions:
- Procurement: Enables viewing of competitions to gauge market dynamics.
- Competition Admin: Authorises the creation of new competitions and updating competitions.
- Bid Admin: Allows decisioning of bids and confirming competitions. This includes completing certain competition types that result in the automatic creation of dispatch instructions.
- Analytics: Provides access to detailed reports for comprehensive analytics.
- Account: Empowers management of team member roles and permissions, essential for maintaining access control.
Optional additional permissions:
- Dispatch Admin: Permits sending and editing of dispatch signals, critical for the management of real-time operations.
- Operations: Grants access to view dispatch schedules, vital for operational planning.
- Settlement: Facilitates access to settlement reports and invoices, essential for financial oversight.
Customisation of Permissions
Permissions may be tailored to meet the specific needs of an organisation. New members inherit default permissions, which may be modified upon review of team roles and subsequent contact with Piclo support.
Modification of Team Members
For alterations to user roles, additions to the team, or deactivation of accounts, engagement with Piclo Support is recommended.
API Integration for System Operators
API integration is available to facilitate streamlined operations and data exchanges within Piclo:
- Acquisition of API Credentials: API credentials, along with access to a testing environment, may be requested from Piclo Support.
- Display of Credentials: API credentials are presented on the Team page, identifiable by the inclusion of @api.picloflex.com.
