August 2024: Release summary

We're delighted to share the latest updates and enhancements on Piclo. Below is a summary of the recent changes.

Key improvements for Flexibility Service Providers (FSPs)

  1. Competition deadlines widget: New widget displays upcoming deadlines for relevant competitions directly on Max opportunity cards, enhancing visibility of key actions and urgency.
  2. ENA asset formatting upload: FSPs in the UK can now upload files compliant with the ENA standard via a link on the asset page.
  3. Availability profiles: FSPs can create availability profiles via API, defining timeframes, capacities, prices, and runtimes outside half-hourly intervals. This streamlines bidding by allowing FSPs to enter fewer parameters, with profiles automatically matched to competition timeframes. If you like to learn more contact der@piclo.energy.
  4. Aggregated meter readings: Aggregator FSPs can upload readings by contract ID, with readings distributed across relevant assets. Please contact support for further information.
  5. Competition type filter on map: FSPs can filter competitions by status directly on the map, enhancing navigation and competition tracking.

Dispatch improvements:

  1. Bulk dispatch management: FSPs can now accept or reject dispatch instructions in bulk through the UI, reducing response times and simplifying dispatch management.
  2. Past dispatch visibility: Both FSPs and SOs can view historical dispatches for improved record-keeping and reference.

Other improvements:

  1. SNS and SQS integration for dispatch messages: Dispatch instructions are now routed via a dedicated SNS topic, protecting the database from potential load spikes when handling thousands of dispatches.
  2. Increased voltage precision: Voltage fields now accept values to three decimal places, supporting the latest requirements in Australia.
  3. Settlement optimisations: Adjusted settlement methodologies support flexible performance calculations, and redundant rows and zero payments have been eliminated for more accurate settlement reporting.
