October 2024: Release summary
We're delighted to share the latest updates and enhancements on Piclo. Below is a summary of the recent changes:
Improving FSP Experience:
- Ineligible asset by SO: FSPs can now view counts of ineligible assets per SO on the Max stack board and asset eligibility page, making it easier to understand why assets are not yet qualifying for different markets.
- Increased asset upload size: The asset upload file size limit has been raised to 5MB, allowing aggregators to manage assets in fewer files.
- Navigation highlighting: Fixed navigation tab highlighting errors to improve user experience across pages.
- Preserved login redirects: Login now retains query string arguments, preserving user navigation intent post-login.
- Updated boundaries on Data Hub: NPG and NGED boundaries are now fully available for FSP download in Data Hub.
Key improvements for System Operators (SOs):
- Dispatch for operational utilisation: SOs now have the capability to trigger dispatches at a later date based on contracts.
- New competition type: Ongoing qualification: A new qualification type allows FSPs to bid with assets uploaded after the qualification close deadline, with clear UI guidance indicating ongoing eligibility until bidding close. This is being trailed in non UK regions.
General improvements:
- Reduced processing issues for large file uploads: Large file uploads are now less likely to be trapped in the processing state, improving file handling reliability.
- Enhanced timezone handling: Timezones are now set according to user preferences rather than environment variables, ensuring accurate scheduling across environments.
- Competition URLs fix: Map now zooms into competitions as intended when loaded via a URL link.
